Intra-Group Conflict and Teamwork Quality: The Moderating
Role of Leadership Styles
Petru L. Curşeu
Abstract
The study examines the extent to which task and relations oriented leadership moderate the impact of task and relationship conflict on teamwork quality. In a sample of 37 teams, the study shows that relationship oriented leadership is beneficial for dealing with relationship conflict, but it does not have the expected positive interaction effect with task conflict. The main practical implication of the results is that in order to mitigate the negative effects of intra-group conflict on teamwork quality the leadership style should fit the type of disagreement (task versus relational) predominantly experienced by the teams.

Abstract
This report has explored the extent to which current training in arts administration is suited to meet changing demands in the cultural sector in Libya and has aimed to develop both a theoretical construct and an educational model to enhance cultural policymakers’ and arts administrators’ capacities to manage systemic change. Recognizing that environmental change in the cultural sector will be an ongoing phenomenon, and that the nature, pace, and scope of change will differ dramatically from community to community. The report has concluded that the change management capacities identified as necessary to meet changing demands, and training options available to current and future leaders in arts administration. In each representative case study, evidence is provided of disconnect between new demands in the cultural sector and the current focus of arts administration training. This gap would suggest that new competencies and skills may be required to manage change taking place in the cultural sector. It is particularly instructive to examine the major issues and trends affecting each Libya’s cultural sector. At precisely the time that African nations such a Libya sand Egypt are looking to standard models to deal with privatization and the rise of market criteria in their economies, Libyan are increasingly focusing on the public value and community-building role of the cultural sector. Hence, while European nations are trying to develop the “private” side of the arts and culture sector, after the recent crisis Libyan are trying to develop the “public” side. Further, while Libya cultural policymakers and arts administrators are attempting to adopt and adapt world standard marketing and fundraising tools to support their work in their changing arts funding system, Libya are finding that an unsustainable arts funding system is forcing new approaches and increased collaboration among cultural organizations.

Abstract
Although informal waste collectors are sometimes organized in cooperatives, their working conditions remain extremely precarious and unsafe. The paper discusses the findings of action oriented, participatory qualitative research with several recycling groups in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, Brazil. During workshops with the recyclers mapping, acting, and drawing methods helped reveal health hazards from collection, separation and transportation of recyclable materials. Major health problems relate to chemical and biological hazards, musculoskeletal damage, mechanical trauma and poor emotional wellbeing. The recent federal legislation on solid waste management opens new avenues for the inclusion of recycling cooperatives in selective waste collection. Nevertheless, we express the need to consider the distinctive characteristics and vulnerabilities of recycling groups, when developing safer work environments in these social businesses. We also suggest that the workspace be ergonomically organized and that public awareness campaigns about selective waste collection are conducted regularly to increase the quality of source separation. The introduction of electric hand pushed carts can further reduce health strains. This research has produced a better understanding of the work of the recyclers and related health risks. The interactive qualitative research methodology has allowed for the co-creation and mobilization of specific knowledge on health and safety in recycling cooperatives.

Abstract
Tertiary education usually indicates higher education particular to undergraduate and graduate programs of study, which comes after elementary and high school completion. After the enactment of the Private University Act in 1992, the private universities in Bangladesh recorded a phenomenal growth. Both the sectors are providing a higher education and making a competitive environment. But in practice, some private universities are very weak and some questions are here about the quality of education. May be those universities are using all modern training aids but are the students benefiting? We know prime aim of a teacher is to make his/her listeners understand and for that a flow of communication between these two agents is very vital. A teacher has to be very likely with the capability of making other’s understand. On the other hand, listeners have to be responsive. Earlier chalk, black-board etc. were used by the teachers as a training aid. But with the advancement of science and technology, slide projectors came into play, after that overhead projectors and now we are in the age of multimedia projectors. But the question remains about the effectiveness of these advance technologies. Are these advance technologies making students more responsive or making a scope for them to remain silent?
